Product Carbon Footprint (PCF).

Infos & Disclaimer.

Reducing CO2 in the construction industry.

The Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) measures the greenhouse gas emissions generated by a product. For us, it is an important tool for assessing the overall climate impact of our products and for identifying levers to reduce emissions in the value chain of the Form-on and Doka products.

We want to support our customers in their sustainability efforts, for public tenders with CO2 budgets as well as for calculating an own corporate carbon footprint. We have therefore defined minimum standards for calculating the emissions of our Form-on & Doka products. As a customer, you will find the PCF printed transparently on your invoice or on request.

Net-Zero. Focused on the life cycle of our products.

Our goal: to reach net zero emissions by 2040! To achieve this, we are constantly working on sustainable solutions. The PCF gives you as a customer the opportunity to better evaluate and compare the Form-on and Doka products in terms of their CO2 content. To determine the PCF, we identify CO2 hotspots in the life cycle of our products:

Disclaimer.

Form-on, as a subsidary of Doka, is aiming at putting sustainable products to the market. Therefore, we are assessing the impact of our products on the environment, including the determination of the Product Carbon Footprint. The determination of the carbon footprint in the total lifecycle of our products is based on our internal and external examinations according to GHG Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standards and ISO 14044 Standards. The conversion of the life cycle inventory values into CO2-equivalent is carried out with the help of the Ecoinvent database in the version 3.9.1 or a more recent Version. At the moment we are still in a continuous improvement process of identifying the exact Product Carbon Footprint of our products. Therefore, we are not yet able to provide fully verified and reliable information and the given information might also be subject to change or further specification and adaptation. We kindly ask you to understand that we can neither make any representation or warranty, nor take over any liability for the correctness, completeness, accuracy and any other information concerning the Product Carbon Footprint of our products. Any and all information disclosed in connection with Product Carbon Footprint is subject to strict confidentiality and may only be disclosed to third parties upon Form-on’s prior written consent.

We would like to point out that the calculation of the Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) is based on the assumption of the expected technical service life. This assumption is made in accordance with industry standards and experience values. Careful handling was assumed for the specified technical service life. Corrosivity parameters such as proximity to the sea are not taken into account and a chemically non-aggressive environment is assumed based on our experience in Central Europe. Only products marked with * are included in the calculation. If you are interested in products without calculation, estimated values can be provided.

However, it is important to emphasize that the technical service life is an assumption and is not to be understood as a warranty or guarantee statement. We accept no liability for the actual service life of the products. The actual service life of the products depends on the actual conditions of use.

Please understand that we cannot guarantee, warrant or assume liability for the correctness, completeness, accuracy and other information on the technical service life of our products.
